ARCHITECTURE (NEWS) FUND and CYCLING INITIATIVES (DIN) invites you to a lecture "COPENHAGEN – VILNIUS. RECIPES FOR AN ACTIVE CITY".

The lecture will take place on 23rd of May, 6 pm, at CAC Reading Room.
The lecture has free admission and will be lead in English.

The speaker from Copenhagen RASMUS ANDERSEN (the founder and leader of an architecture studio Active City Transformation (ACT)) is not dealing with traditional architecture, urban planning or landscape design. In the years of practice the studio gained very specific knowledge and experience about integrating motion and activities into people’s daily experiences. Along with that, ACT pays attention to all special conditions and details of each project, so their projects really stand out as conceptual space identifying solutions.

During the lecture the speaker will discuss the importance of creating urban spaces designated for active lifestyles and will present various practical inspiring architecture and city planning solutions. Relevant topics of the discussion – abandoned urban spaces potential and bicycle role in the modern city life.

In order to enrich the lecture and continue a valuable discussion, we organise an educational excursion on bikes around PUBLIC SPACES OF VILNIUS on 25th of May. Registration and more information: [email protected]

The lecture and excursion is supported by: Danish Cultural Institute (Danijos Kulturos Institutas)
