The sound installation of the two Finish artists, Tommi Gronlund & Petteri Nisunen, has been created especially for the spaces of the Contemporary Art Centre. The artist duuo are among the most interesting artists in Finland, constantly travelling into the productive area of sound explorations within the context of visual arts. But this duo does not only search for new meanings of sound. Their works very often explore well-known, but invisible natural phenomena. The sound appears as a tool to capture these phenomena and make them accessible to our senses.
Tommi Gronlund & Petteri Nisunen were the curators and artists of the Nordic Pavilion at the Venice Biennial in 2001.
