‘100 Photographs’ is a selected collection of works by Vytautas Balčytis (b. 1955), covering his whole creative carrier. Vytautas Balcytis belongs to a group of Lithuanian photographers who concentrate attentively on the different aspects of urban landscape.
It starts from his photos of Vilnius from the 1980s and continues into the last decade with Small Towns, a project in progress. The latter already has a new aspect – the photography becomes a means of realisation of the conceptual idea. The exhibition gathers together not only his well-known photographs, but also an important number of works that are presented for the first time.
