Trough 112 years Vilnius was experiencing constant changes. Perhaps perpetual transformation is the key feature, defining the indentity of this city? How did the architecture evolutionate in this city during different times? What were the main factors, shaping the architectural identity of Vilnius?
Browsing through the pages of a recently issued book „Vilnius 1900–2012. Guide to contemporary architecture“ (made by „Architektūros fondas“ together with a publishing house „Baltos lankos“) we invite the audience to analyse Vilnius‘ shifts in the context of different socioeconomical, political circumstancies and to highlight the trends of Vilnius‘ architecture.
