On Friday, January, 7 pm the CAC Reading Room invites you to the fourth event from series introducing the exhibition “A Summer Vocation of a Teenage Bee”, opening on 9 February, 2018 at the Contemporary Art Centre. On this occasion, Paul Elliman will present a playlist of signal sounds from his forthcoming record The Heralds: Un appel et peut-être une réponse (A Call and Maybe a Reply).
Paul Elliman lives in London. His work follows language through many of its social and technological guises; typography, human voice and bodily gestures emerging as part of a direct correspondence with other visible forms and sounds of the city. Elliman is currently a visiting tutor for the Master of Voice MFA programme at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam, and is in the forthcoming Liverpool Biennial 2018.
