Remain in Zero / Same Day is a two-volume publication documenting Prologue to the 15th Baltic Triennial: Remain in Zero and 15th Baltic Triennial: Same Day. Conceived as the third and concluding chapter of the Triennial, the books extend the project beyond its exhibitions and events, recording its development across 2023–2024.
Each volume follows its respective exhibition through a distinctly personal lens, shaped by the photographic work of Saulė Gerikaitė and Adrianna Glaviano. The images attend to work, atmosphere, duration, and encounter, registering the experience of moving through the Triennial’s temporal and spatial frameworks.
Poems by Emerson appear throughout the publications and lend their titles to each chapter of the project. The poems are reproduced from Songs Without Music (1984), a manuscript of twenty-two typewritten sheets of lyrics held in the archive of the Greek photographer George Tourkovasilis.
Designed by Julie Peeters and edited by Tom Engels and Maya Tounta, the two volumes form a closing gesture to the triennial – not as a summary, but as a sustained record, or afterimage, attentive to proximity, duration, and the lived time of the events.
