Tickets and visiting

Tickets can be purchased at the CAC ticket desk (Vokiečių St 2) or online through the CAC ticketing system.

Yes, card payments are accepted at the CAC ticket desk. Online tickets can be paid for through Paysera, either by card or online banking.

The following visitors are entitled to free admission to CAC exhibitions and film screenings: preschool-age children; orphans and children deprived of parental care; families presenting a Family Card; disable people and those accompanying them (one accompanying person per visitor); people aged 80 and over; POLA cardholders; employees of museums in the Republic of Lithuania; members of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association; members of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA); members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM); members of the International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art (CIMAM); members of the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art (IKT); members of the International Biennial Association (IBA); members of the Lithuanian Art Gallerists’ Association (LMGA); members of the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association (LTMKS); people holding official artist status; art gallery employees; pupils at art schools in Lithuania; students at art and design colleges and the Vilnius Academy of Arts; students at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA); students of history at Lithuanian universities; guides and teachers accompanying groups of at least five pupils or children attending educational activities; people accompanying groups of 11 or more; journalists; and Ukrainian citizens.

Tickets cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable.

No. You can visit the CAC Café and ŠMC Raštinė without purchasing an admission ticket.

CAC is open on the following public holidays: 16 February, 11 March, 1 May, the first Sunday in May (Mother’s Day), the first Sunday in June (Father’s Day), 24 June, 6 July and 15 August. On these dates, CAC follows its usual opening hours for the relevant day of the week. CAC is closed on Mondays, even when a public holiday falls on a Monday.

No. Standard ticket prices and concessions apply on the last Sunday of the month.

Yes, visitors can use the Wi-Fi at CAC free of charge.

Accessibility and activities

We aim to make CAC accessible to all visitors. However, the building is not yet fully accessible to visitors with limited mobility. Accessible toilets are available on the ground and first floors.

Before your visit, the CAC social story can help you become familiar with the building and its spaces. An Easy Read exhibition guide is available to read and download from the CAC website, and a printed copy is available at the CAC ticket desk.

Disabled visitors and one accompanying person can attend CAC exhibitions and events free of charge. If you have any access requirements, please contact us at [email protected] before your visit so that we can support you.

Yes. CAC regularly offers public tours of its current exhibitions in Lithuanian and English. The programme also includes tours with exhibition curators and artists, tours in Lithuanian Sign Language and other specially developed tours. CAC does not currently offer virtual exhibition tours, but you can find exhibition texts, photographs, videos and other materials on the CAC website.

Exhibitions change several times a year, but their duration and schedules vary. Exhibitions in different spaces may open and close at different times. Exact dates for current and upcoming exhibitions are available on the CAC website.

During exhibition changeovers, some galleries may be closed for installation. We announce closures in advance on the CAC website and social media, so we recommend checking the latest information before your visit.

Even if all exhibition spaces are closed during a changeover, you can still visit the CAC Reading Room, Sculpture Yard, CAC Café, and ŠMC Raštinė.

You can park in nearby car parks. Parking in Vilnius Old Town is paid, and spaces are limited. You can check the nearest parking locations, availability and prices on the JUDU parking zone map.

Due to the current reconstruction of Vokiečių Street, traffic and parking near CAC may be restricted. Up-to-date information about traffic changes and parking options is available on the JUDU website.

Visiting with children 

Yes. Baby-changing facilities are available in the basement. Please note that the basement is not accessible with a pushchair. You can leave your pushchair safely by the ticket desk, next to the stairs.

CAC tours are suitable for children, and families are welcome to take part together. Educational activities for children and families are also organised during exhibitions. Information about upcoming activities is published on the CAC website.

No, CAC does not have a separate space for children.

No, CAC does not provide childcare. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout their visit.

Other information

ŠMC Raštinė is a concept shop and café offering stationery, carefully selected design objects, art and design books, and work by Lithuanian designers and other creatives.

The CAC Reading Room holds magazines on contemporary art, architecture and design, exhibition catalogues, artists’ monographs and artist-made books, as well as publications on cultural theory and art history. It also houses special collections assembled by artists, writers, designers and other cultural practitioners, alongside a collection of artists’ vinyl records.

All publications are for use in the Reading Room only and cannot be borrowed. To find a particular publication, search the online Reading Room catalogue or ask a member of the Reading Room staff. The Reading Room is free to use and no registration is required.

Whether pets are permitted in CAC exhibitions depends on the exhibitions currently on view and the artworks they include. Before visiting, please check the relevant exhibition page on the CAC website for the latest information.

These restrictions do not apply to guide dogs or other assistance dogs.

You are welcome to take photographs in the galleries for personal, non-commercial use, but please do not use flash or tripods. Photography or filming may be restricted in some exhibitions or galleries; please check the signage or ask a member of staff.
