Join us on 10 & 11 May as Open House Vilnius returns, inviting everyone to celebrate architecture together! During the event weekend, doors open to some of the city’s most exclusive and intriguing buildings and spaces – a unique opportunity to explore and experience the architecture of Vilnius that connects the past, present, and future!

As part of the programme, the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) welcomes visitors for guided tours of its iconic exhibition space, designed in the 1960s by renowned architect Vytautas Čekanauskas. In the summer of 2024, the CAC building, a prime example of modernist Lithuanian architecture, entered a new phase of its life after a complete renewal of its technical infrastructure and interior. The new design, undertaken with care and responsibility by the architects Audrius and Marina Bučas, respects the legacy of both Čekanauskas and Valdas Ozarinskas, the CAC’s long-time architect. Discover the building’s history through guided tours led by knowledgeable volunteer guides.
