For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil.
Last autumn, the Contemporary Art Centre (CAC), Vilnius, opened ‘Father’, Mykolas Valantinas’s first solo exhibition. As the exhibition approaches its close, the artist activates its second phase – ‘Father II’ – and, together with the institution, invites audiences to the launch and activation event of this new chapter, titled Bonds.
For one evening, the CAC will transform into a party setting, bringing together musicians and performance artists from Lithuania and beyond. Highlights include South Korea–born artist bela, appearing in Lithuania for the first time, and Berlin-based artist and producer Sin Maldita. The evening will also feature the premiere of Paulius Janušonis’s Karaoke.
Additional performances by Amira, dj yung žižek, eureka b, milda, and Phase2Blondie.
The event begins at 7 pm.

BELA
Originally from Paju, South Korea, bela (they/them) is a musician and performance artist based in Berlin and Prague. Their work combines electronic music with pungmul – a Korean folk tradition rooted in agricultural rituals and social movements – alongside raw vocals influenced by extreme metal. Through heavy distortion and guttural cries, bela turns pungmul into a ritual of queer rage and grief. Their debut album Noise and Cries 굉음과 울음 (2024), co-released by Subtext and Unsound, features five avant-garde basement experiments and two ambient pieces, reflecting on the precarity of life in South Korea, queer identity, broken relationships, and survival.
KARAOKE
Karaoke is a new duo by Paulius Janušonis, and ‘an old relative on both shoulders’, as described by the artist. This event marks Karaoke’s premiere.
SIN MALDITA
Sin Maldita is a Berlin-based artist and producer whose musical practice threads together post-club abrasion, jagged hyperpop, and chaotic bass-heavy beauty. He is a co-founder of the art and music label Unguarded and has worked as a producer, sound designer and mixer on a plethora of albums, installations, performances and art projects. His collaborators include Amnesia Scanner, Anne Imhof, Eliza Douglas, and Jenna Sutela.
MILDA
Milda Januševičiūtė is an artist and cultural sociologist based in Brussels and Vilnius. Her interdisciplinary practice spans video, music, performance, and installation, often addressing themes of emotional health, digital existence, intimacy, and collective memory and resilience.
AMIRA
Amira Dayekh is a Lithuanian-Lebanese creator and activist who has recently begun incorporating music into her practice. Amira primarily performs experimental, electronic, and alternative Arabic music originating from the Levant region, which includes Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria.
