The participants of the ‘Flat 99’ project were invited to present their works not in the traditional spaces of art galleries, but in their apartments.
The project consisted of two stages. The apartments of the artists living in the centre and the old town of Vilnius opened during the first stage (Saturday 18 September). During the second stage, the visitors of the project were invited to the apartments of the artists living outside the centre of Vilnius (Saturday 25 September) and to one place in Kaunas (Sunday 26 September).
Video documentation of the project was presented at the Contemporary Art Centre in November 1999.
