The jazz musician Vladimir Tarasov, who has lived in Vilnius since 1986 and was a member of the jazz trio with Viaceslav Ganelin and Vladimir Cekasin in 1971-1986, presented his installation “Water Music” made in 1992.
Ilja Kabakov about “Water Music”: “From the oddest of pots, buckets and plastic films, a wonderfully tuned ensemble is born in the space of a museum. The streaming and dropping in different corners of the hall create a complex polyphony, in which low sounds drumming on stretched plastic and church “bells” falling into a metal bucket, the staccato of glassware and slow rhythmical bangs in a huge metal bath merge together.”
